WTF!?!?!? Anyone else not get the printed manual??
It clearly states that Gentoo purchased via the store comes with a printed manual. Well, Not in my case There was one printed page titled "Gentoo Linux 1.4 Maintenance Release".
I can deal with it and I'm over it now ... but when I cracked the jiffy-blo envelope pulled out the nicely printed CD's and NO MANUAL...
Come on ...... I want my manual!!! hehehehehe.
P.S - Seriously, your packaged goods should contain exactly what is stated when you purchase Gentoo. |

I'm all for truth in advertising, and believe you should get what is promised. But realistically, a printed manual could never be updated quickly enough to be current. |

Maybe the description got changed, but currently there are no printed instructions in the release AFAICS. |

They must have whacked the docs off, yes I agree that it would be hard to keep current with a document the is always being updated. That's also good that "printed docs" is no longer stated on the website .....
The CD's look awesome ... looks like they printed the covers directly from a Epson Stylus Photo 960 as noted is small print. |

I got a printed manual with my LiveCDs but I ended up looking at the manual on the web. The manual included with the cds are in black in white which were hard to follow sometimes. I found the color manual online a lot easier to follow. _________________ My Company: Hakata Consulting |
