|
|
From time to time, in my eagerness to do something, I make an illegal drag 'n drop action in Gnome. By illegal drag 'n drop I for example mean dragging a gnome-icon into mozilla or vice versa. Every other time or so, the mouse cursor won't turn 'normal' after the drag-action again (normal: pointer, drag-cursor: triangle pointer to upperleft corner of screen). This means I have to CTRL-ALT-BS out of X and log in anew. This is _VERY_ irritating behaviour. Maybe I do something wrong and is there a key to revert the mouse cursor back normal. But, for heavens sake, which key is that??? |

This has been happening to me with some freqency.
It is VERY annoying, and usually occurs accidentally if I drag whilst browsing some sites online.
However, if you wait a minute or two, the cursor will go back to normal, with the offending program usually being shutdown. _________________ Face it, we are all noobs.
On the box it said it was designed for Win XP or better, so why won't it work with Linux? |

this happened to me a long time ago with mozilla (1.2?). I hit the ESC key and it fixed itself... not sure if your problem is the same tho. |
