|
|
I did run layman -s gnome
then i did run eix-sync
I did see that gnome 3.0.0 is going to update to 3.0.1
so I did run emerge -uDN world
there was not erros, so I did restart X.
after I am loging in I am getting message
FAILED TO LOAD SESSION : gnome-fallback
there is only "logout" button. so I am clicking that and I am back on login screen.
I have forced to start with fallback gnome, I had some problems with configuring graphic driver ...
I did try ask google and try to find solution in bugs.gentoo.org. but I did not find anything.
pleasee, what should I do to login in and continue with work?
thanks

I did unmask x11-misc/notification-daemon
and remerge layman version
after that I can continue to work with PC using gnome3 |

Moved from Desktop Environments to Unsupported Software as overlay ebuilds are not officially supported. _________________ Search | Read | Answer | Report | Strip |

Worked for me, but I would like to see some more customization in gnome. |
