Hello, I've been running Gentoox on a dedicated Xbox for a long time now; and as I like to keep my systems reasonably up to date I would like to bring the whole system to a recent version of Gentoo, however recent versions of backbone packages such as glibc and gcc won't sit with a 2.4 Kernel.
Is there a way to safely upgrade and mantain usability and performance? I've read around these and other forums that FATX support on 2.6 was a major pain, is that still true? Are the patches available at http://sourceforge.net/projects/xbox-linux/files/ actually good? Is there a proven .config to compile it properly?
I hope someone can take the time to answer ![Wink ;)](images/smiles/icon_wink.gif) |

Moved from Gentoo on Alternative Architectures to Unsupported Software as Gentoo-derived distributions are not officially supported. _________________ Search | Read | Answer | Report | Strip |
