Start by showing us the contents of nl menu.lst and the steps you used to install grub. |

boot your computer with a live cd, and follow the gentoo installation guide to chroot in your "not" booting environment. Please DO NOT use fdisk or mkfs for format your existing partitions, you have already done that step when you installed your gentoo. Just mount your system under /mnt/gentoo and chroot in there. Now you can find your menu.lst under /boot/grub/menu.lst or /boot/grub/grub.conf.
Make sure you have your kernel listed in there that you want to boot from. |
