I have a Canon G12, which I want to connect to my PC. The camera is recognized and there is an icon on my Gnome desktop, but I cannot access it. When I click on the icon I get "gphoto2://[usb:001,008] could not be displayed]. The compatability list of libgphoto2 lists G10 and G11 but no G12. Does anybody have some experience here?

The problem seems to go deeper...gphoto2 on the command line detects the camera and downloads all files without problems. Will investigate. |

Ok, problem found. F-Spot (which gets autostarted on camera detection) causes the malfunction. |
