I have rc logging enabled and I see in the shutdown, mdraid is shutdown before even mysql.
I think the problem lies in that 'localmount' does not have a dependency on 'mdraid'.
Or, maybe 'lvm' should depend on 'mdraid', given localmount depends on lvm.
Although, mdraid does have a 'before checkfs fsck' line, which, I guess would give an appropriate dependency.
I do have mdraid explicitly listed in my boot runlevel, but there appears to be no concrete way to determine when it's required.
Regardless, openrc appears to not know when to shut mdraid down properly.
If there is agreement with this, I can raise a bug on this. _________________ ...Lyall |

Yep raise one, for me it's the only issue i know about openrc/bl2 : a terrible uneffective and buggy pickup list of device to unmount when shutdown the computer, you'll end up with a stuck shutdown.
Most people won't have issue, but mount filesystem after boot, raid/lvm, loop on iso... anything that need an unmount order are hazardous. |
