Hi,
I recently tried to change my kernel, 2.6.37-r1, to use X.
In the instructions, it says to turn on 'enable modesetting on intel by default'. I'm using an Intel graphics card.
This option appears to not exist. And, when I attempt to run X, it complains that this option is not turned on.
I checked the 2.6.37 source from kernel.org;It has the 'enable modesetting' option present.
If I want to use X, should I try to get 2.7.37-r1 to work or is the a better more recent kernel that I should use?

You can press / in menuconfig to search for DRM_i915_KMS, which will list all the dependencies that need to be enabled before that option is visible. |
