*SOLVED* dvdrip does not produce output, only 4k avi

hi all,
i am experiencing some strange problems with dvdrip. i can rip, resize and all of that, i can let dvdrip encode some specified frames for previewing, even 2-pass, but when i want to encode the whole movie the second pass is extremly short an gives no output.
any idea? do i only need to specify the frames from 1 - x manually?

ok, if somebody has had the same problems, here a solution:
you need a version of transcode > 0.6.6. after resyncing your portage tree you will be able to emerge at last 0.6.7. i use 0.6.9 for now and everything works.

you need to give the version number exaclty when emerging .- using stable gentoo your default is 0.6.6 which is troublesome

in a mailinglist i have read that my problem was a common bug which was fixed by the author since version 0.6.7. the problem in detail was that lame was not able to create an mp3 stream. probably you need to re-emerge lame after emerging transcode. i needed to do so.

if somebody feels lost, please write here. i ll watch my thread for some weeks.
