Hi, ALL,
I have a laptop with Gentoo installed, which sometimes needs to connect to my home network.

Is it possible to put some kind of timeout in the /etc/fstab so that when I'm not at home skip the mounting of my home network?

Yes, this should be possible. Assuming you are using NSF look at this link/comment for the syntax:
