I get the warning "kde detected one or more internal sound devices were removed".
How do I delete ALL the sound devices and get KDE to rebuild the list?
I have NVIDIA #1 and NVIDIA #2 so I'm not surprised KDE is confused. _________________ AMD FX6100 CPU, 16 GiB RAM, OCZ Vertex 3 SSD

I get this every time I log in ever since I upgraded to KDE 4.6 from 4.4.
I also have an Nvidia Nforce 2 chipset.
How do we get sound working?
Thanks,
Dave. |

I have sound even though I get the error.
You could try reordering the sound devices by clicking on the dialog that says "manage devices".

Try this, it half worked for me:
Quote: | Whilst outside KDE, please remove /var/tmp/kdecache-$USER/libphonon/hardwaredatabase |
