Synaptics touchpad with XF 4.3.99?

I've got a small problem: After I updated to XF 4.3.99 for the ATI-drivers I can't get the synaptics touchpad of my travelmate 830LCiB to work :-?

I also tried it with those drivers linked in every other topic about this touchpad. Does anybody perhaps have any experience with this combination?

I havent had synaptics problems with 4.3.99.10 or 4.3.99.13, which I am currently using (for the updated radeon driver as well)... (with the exception of my current 2.6.0-test6 problems)

synaptics works fine for me with 2.6test6 + xfree4.3.99.9+patches over an ati igp 320m
