Hi!!!

The last 3 days I tried to get gentoo on my notebook!
But the pcmcia thing drives me crazy. I tried almost everything. I read almost every post in the forum about pcmcia or cardmgr!!!!!

My Problem is that the Ethernet device is not detectedby gentoo.
When I run "gentoo dopcmcia" I get this message

cardmgr watching 1 Socket!!

but no eth 0!!
If I run knoppix , everything goes well. Network runs without problems.
In the next step I ran
--> "sitar" to get an output of the knoppix configuration!

That didn't help much It got me even more confused because knoppix is loading the same modules as I do!!!
