|
|
For some reason my kernel(At least I think it's the kernel), is unable to see the SVM flag for my cpu(Using grep svm /proc/cpuinfo. I have used xen-sources avaliable in the layman overlay. I have a Opeteron 6128 and the SVM IS enabled in the BIOS. I also know that the gentoo live cd as well as the live cds of several other distributions are able to see the SVM flag when using grep svm /proc/cpuinfo. Every time I use a Xen dom0 kernel, cpuinfo no longer reports having an SVM flag. What is it in the kernel or whatever maybe causing the problem do I change? |

The Xen kernel is special and I wouldn't expect that you'd see the vmx/svm CPU flags advertised. Can you run fully (not para) virtualized guests in Xen? _________________ Game! - Where the stick is mightier than the sword! |
