|
|
Hello all,
I'm trying to give it a shot compiling a new kernel...and last time, my sound wasn't working...in the section for PCI Sound devices...not sure what to choose?
I have Intel ICH5 w/AD1981B, but that doesn't seem to correspond with the two Intel entries in the offerings while looking in make menuconfig.
Any ideas what to choose here?
Thanks in advance,

http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/AD1981B says Quote: | On systems where lspci shows an Intel AC'97 Audio Controller, this chip is supported by the snd-intel8x0 kernel module. This driver provides enhanced power saving capabilities.
On systems where lspci shows an ATI AC'97 Audio Controller (R40e and R51e), this chip is supported by the snd-atiixp kernel module. |
