Hello all,

I'm trying to give it a shot compiling a new kernel...and last time, my sound wasn't working...in the section for PCI Sound devices...not sure what to choose?

I have Intel ICH5 w/AD1981B, but that doesn't seem to correspond with the two Intel entries in the offerings while looking in make menuconfig.

Any ideas what to choose here?

Thanks in advance,

cayenne

On systems where lspci shows an Intel AC'97 Audio Controller, this chip is supported by the snd-intel8x0 kernel module. This driver provides enhanced power saving capabilities.
On systems where lspci shows an ATI AC'97 Audio Controller (R40e and R51e), this chip is supported by the snd-atiixp kernel module.
