Nvidia Install

I am currently having all sorts of problems with my nvidia geforce fx 5200 card. I have read through all the forums that i possibly could and figured out that i don't have a xf86config. I have followed the install steps word for word and when i run lilo i get an error message saying unable to determine the video adapter. Is there ANYWHere that i can find a step by step process on how to install my video card. Thank you.

All reports seem to indicate that error is harmless. Lilo doesn't have anything to do with whether X works or not, all it does is load kernels.

It seems that geforce fx is causing many problems. Also the driver names have been changed and so on. Have you used fx before with linux?

Don't worry about the Unable to determine video adapter message from Lilo. If you don't use framebuffer there should be no problems. I tried with framebuffer but It never worked so just normal console.
