Is the webcam image upside down in other applications? If so, seems like a driver/configuration issue, otherwise it is a Skype problem (in which case you are likely screwed).
For example, you can test with mplayer:

1. Install app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-medialibs to get a 32-bit version of libv4l
2. Run skype with LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib32/libv4l/v4l2convert.so (one easy way to do that is to simply copy /usr/bin/skype to /usr/local/bin/, edit /usr/local/bin/skype, and add

Yes it is only in skype.
I think it's bug in skype. |

Try the solution I found here via Google:

I believe it forces skype to use v4l2 via the v4l compatibility layer.

v4l1compat.so could also work (although v4l2convert.so should probably work better since it allows skype use the modern v4l2 api). However, on amd64, you need to use "/usr/lib32" instead of "/usr/lib" (since "/usr/lib" contains 64-bit libraries, while skype is 32-bit).

worked with a small correction:

The image is perfect.
But is decentralized (more to the left) but only on Skype.
In the cheese is perfect. |
