I've already attempted an install of Gentoo on this and unfortunately I was unable to get it to function to any sort of useable state. I'm in serious need of some help. I think my major malfunction is in compiling the kernel... The installation manual barely covers this and assumes a working knowledge of what each thing in the kernel does. Here's what I need... IrDA, EXT3, My Ethernet driver (Not sure what it is), PCMCIA, the ability to swap between my CD drive and my Floppy Drive... Anything else that I should have for the 3500C...
*Please don't flame - been a Linux user for almost a year and I love it... just wanting to convert all 6 systems to Gentoo... Starting with this one...
