|
hi
sometimes (1 out of 10 times) when gentoo is resuming from hibernation, it automatically restarts - it starts decompressing image as usual, but at the end of decompressing it simply restarts the computer...
has anybody experienced the same problem? or is there any way how to see any logs regarding this problem?
thanks |

Might be helpful to know what version of swsusp (swsusp1, tuxonice/swsusp2, uswsusp) you're using?
Honestly I don't use hibernate (S4) suspend way too much, but S3 Suspend to Disk seems pretty flaky on my desktop; it sometimes hangs on resume. I'm suspecting ati-drivers but really don't have a clue what's causing it... Once I reboot to get control of the system, data's gone :( Might even be a f/w or h/w issue; my Dell Inspiron 600M never resumed from S3 properly at all...
S4 hibernate and S3 suspend to disk seems to work perfectly on my eeepc netbook though (also Gentoo). Pretty much default install of Gnome.
I'm using Linux-3.0.3 vanilla at the moment... _________________ Intel Core i7 2700K/Radeon R7 250/24GB DDR3/256GB SSD
