Hi!
I need to re-install Foxitreader and emerge can't find the package!

Calculating dependencies... done!
emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy "app-text/foxitreader".
emerge: searching for similar names...
emerge: Maybe you meant any of these: dev-ruby/osmlib-base, dev-ruby/kirbybase, dev-ruby/snmplib?

1. It's masked for some reason on your machine (not at a gentoo machine to easily investigate). It could just be in unstable (~x86 / ~amd64)
2. You're spelling it wrong (capitalization matters - app-text/FoxitReader)
Good luck!
... side note... the package suggestions at the end are totally ridiculous - I wonder how it generates them. |

Code: | # equery list -p FoxitReader
* Searching for FoxitReader ...
!!! No packages matching 'FoxitReader'
|
It isn't in packages.gentoo.org on the net either.
My opinion is that FoxitReader is the best of the alternatives I have tried on Gentoo amd64.
I am using TwinView, and acroread does not maximize correctly in Twinview with an Nvidia card.
epdfview, mupdf, zathura cannot show two pages at once. |
