Hi!

I need to re-install Foxitreader and emerge can't find the package!

Code:

[root][/usr/lib] $ emerge --search foxitreader

Searching...
[ Results for search key : foxitreader ]
[ Applications found : 2 ]

*  app-text/FoxitReader [ Masked ]
      Latest version available: 1.1.0
      Latest version installed: [ Not Installed ]
      Size of files: 3,698 kB
      Homepage:      http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/desklinux/
      Description:   A free PDF document viewer, featuring small size, quick startup, and fast page rendering
      License:       FoxitReader

*  app-text/foxitreader
      Latest version installed: 1.1.0-r1
      Homepage:      http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/desklinux/
      Description:   Free PDF document viewer for the Linux, featuring small size, quick startup, and fast page rendering
      License:       EULA

[root][/usr/lib] $ emerge -pv app-text/foxitreader

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!

emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy "app-text/foxitreader".

emerge: searching for similar names...
emerge: Maybe you meant any of these: dev-ruby/osmlib-base, dev-ruby/kirbybase, dev-ruby/snmplib?

I installed sunrise overlay but I still have the same issue

Does anyone know what happened?

1. It's masked for some reason on your machine (not at a gentoo machine to easily investigate). It could just be in unstable (~x86 / ~amd64)

2. You're spelling it wrong (capitalization matters ;) - app-text/FoxitReader)

Good luck!

... side note... the package suggestions at the end are totally ridiculous - I wonder how it generates them.

Code:
# equery list -p FoxitReader
 * Searching for FoxitReader ...
!!! No packages matching 'FoxitReader'

It isn't in packages.gentoo.org on the net either.

My opinion is that FoxitReader is the best of the alternatives I have tried on Gentoo amd64.

I am using TwinView, and acroread does not maximize correctly in Twinview with an Nvidia card.

epdfview, mupdf, zathura cannot show two pages at once.
