I don't know why I need a "backlighthelper" (this is a desktop, not a laptop).
Is there some way to turn this off (/var/log/messages consists primarily of these notices and almost nothing else)?
Code: |
Sep 18 01:41:28 system dbus[842]: [system] Activating service name='org.kde.powerdevil.backlighthelper' (using servicehelper)
Sep 18 01:41:28 system dbus[842]: [system] Successfully activated service 'org.kde.powerdevil.backlighthelper'
Sep 18 01:43:58 system dbus[842]: [system] Activating service name='org.kde.powerdevil.backlighthelper' (using servicehelper)
Sep 18 01:43:58 system dbus[842]: [system] Successfully activated service 'org.kde.powerdevil.backlighthelper'
Sep 18 01:46:28 system dbus[842]: [system] Activating service name='org.kde.powerdevil.backlighthelper' (using servicehelper)
Sep 18 01:46:28 syscem dbus[842]: [system] Successfully activated service 'org.kde.powerdevil.backlighthelper'

Thank you in advance. |

This used to annoy me too, fixed it by going to power management in systemsettings, choose power profiles and uncheck dim display. Seemed a bit silly to have dim display and screen energy saving both kick in after 10 minutes anyway... |
