I have sort of an emergency need to use my cell phone to get back to my office via VPN. Problem is, VPN requires windows.
No problem getting Gentoo online with my cell phone and the Verizon Express Network. But I can't run VMWare networking against a PPP interface, so I appear to have no choice but to create a windows partition for use with the dialup.
I have a 40GB drive configured as follows
/dev/hda1 * 1 5 37768+ 83 Linux /boot
/dev/hda2 6 138 1005480 82 Linux swap
/dev/hda3 139 5168 38026800 5 Extended
/dev/hda5 139 1431 9775048+ 83 Linux /
/dev/hda6 1432 4015 19535008+ 83 Linux /home
With about 8GB at the end free.
Will Windows XP or 2k run out there? I suspect if I install it, it will clobber LILO, how do I get around this?
In the past, when I created a dual boot machine, I put the windows stuff on first, then let LILO/Grub take over. I've never done this "backwards" before
