Hey guys i am having trouble with my sound i am following the gentoo guide and when i run alsaconf it says "no legacy drivers"
I have everything compiled into the kernel directly and they are not modules would that make a difference?
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation Cougar Point High Definition Audio Controller (rev 05)
01:00.1 Audio device: nVidia Corporation Device 0be5 (rev a1)

got it working.. alsa mixer reconized it regardless. one thing tho the sound works without alsa running why is that? |

There is no daemon or anything for alsa to be running |
