Gentoo prefix under Solaris/Illumos

A long time ago, I tried Gentoo prefix under Solaris. I had a lot of problems with bootstrap, and when I finally managed to finish the bootstrap, a lot of packages wouldn't build. So is there anyone who has any recently experience with gentoo prefix under Solaris/Illumos?

I have a prefix on Solaris 11/SPARC and the keyworded ebuilds mostly build and work fine. One annoying issue is the binutils symbol versioning bug http://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1021 but apart from that only few problems during bootstrap or afterwards.
