Is there any way to play old dos games on linux? Can wine do it maybe? I really want to play x-wing(old dos version not win95 cd version) on my linux box. |

DOSBox is what you want. Make sure to get CVS, has some support for protected mode games. |

wine can do a very limited set of dos-programs, and only text-only, so no games.
Dosemu can run some games but does not have any support for soundcards.. Well it does but very unusable.
DOSbox is very good, it supports sound in many many games and the protected-mode support in CVS is also pretty good, although there's still room for improvement.
Just emerge dosbox-cvs and be happy :p _________________ Pentium 4 Prescott 3,2 GHz
