Anytime I try and cross-emerge packages right now, the autotools library checks usually seem to fail ("checking for gzopen in -lz... no"). Come to think of it, how exactly are these supposed to pass when my host system has x64 libs, and the packages are looking for ARM libs? |

Well, I figured it out to some degree, I need to set CFLAGS and LDFLAGS to point at the includes/libs on the target system. Unfortunately, it does look like some packages ignore those and try to link against host libraries (like libuuid in X stuff, for example). It seems like cross compiling is not as easy as it looked at first. |
