Hey all, switched Kwin to openbox for obvious performance increases in the past week and was curious as to whether I could use compiz alongside openbox and kde? Or if a better compositing manager could be recommended it would be much appreciated. xcompmgr is sketchy at best, I've run into quite a few problems. _________________ "Linux is like a wigwam; no windows, no gates, apache inside." |

No. Compiz is a window manager itself, it doesn't work alongside Openbox, it replaces it. You can run Compiz+KDE though. |

Know of any other notable compositing managers I could use? I am trying to rid myself of tearing... Not real interested in effects. _________________ "Linux is like a wigwam; no windows, no gates, apache inside." |
