Hi,
I am trying to get a nis client working on a system that someone else installed. Two other clients are working, so I know the problem isn't serverside.

I have copied the yp.conf and the nsswitch file from the other working client so I think they have the same configuration.

When the computer boots ypbind init fails with "

Quote:

no nis server found

:cry

However, when ypcat passwd spits out the list of users from the server. :smile

Despite that, I still cannot login to those accounts

Please help!
