How about a gentoo/PPC forum?

There appears to be a problem with the XFree86 4.2.0-r9 ebuild script on PPC, incidentally. Actually, I have no idea if it's only on PPC or if it applies to x86 as well, but basically, the "up" scrollwheel doesn't work, even when using the Options "ZAxisMapping" "4 5" in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4. The "down" scrollwheel does work, however, which points to a problem with one of the patches included in the ebuild (since I just finished rebuilding from source, unpatched, and XFree86 4.2.0 works like a champ here now.)

I'd love to go on some more about issues like this, but I don't think that this is the right channel, so I'm hoping that there'll be a PPC channel someday.

While a PPC forum might not end up number 1 in volume of posts, it would not be the least used forum either.

The problem is not there are only a few PPC posts; the problem is that they are mixed in with all the other x86 stuff. I'd be more likely to post PPC questions if they all went in one place where the other PPC folks would find them.

If the fear is that we'll end up with too many diverse forums, perhaps the PPC forum could go on the gentooppc.sunsite.dk site.
