Hi there, i have a problem with my gentoo minimal CD installation. Recently, i acquired a hp pavilion dm4 2090 la wich has an intel centrino n 1030 wireless card. When I booted gentoo i noticed wireless didn't worked (Only lo and eth0 showed up in ifconfig), and i looked for the driver in the kernel but it wasn't there! (I found only the iwlagn, wich didn't worked)

What can I do? I know that I can download that driver from intel, but can I just simply put that driver in the kernel externally?

Thanks :D

Wolfword,

Welcome to Gentoo.

If you really need to install using wireless, boot SystemRescueCD, not the Gentoo minimal CD.
System Rescue CD has much better wireless support, its Gentoo based and allows you to fillow the handbook with no extra steps.

After booting System Rescue CD, how can I install Gentoo from the console?

Wolfword,

Start here, its the only way to install Gentoo.

At least with System Rescue CD, you can boot the the GUI so you can read the handbook and post here while you install in a terminal window.
