Hi! Is it possible, with fdisk for example, to resize a partition on my hdd (I don't want to lose my windows partition) so instead of deleting it, shriking it, giving free space for making the necessary linux partitions?

Thanks :D

Take a look at the GParted LiveCD. Good backups are recommended before beginning.

Windows doesn't use a dedicated boot partition. The bootloader you install in your Linux boot partition will be able to chain to the bootloader that's part of the Windows partition. The example grub.conf files in the Handbook show how to dual boot Windows.
