Hi,
A strange behavior is happening with my internet connection.
First, I need to say my ISP uses PPPoE. So to install Gentoo, I had to burnt both files pppd and rp-pppoe and install them to be able to have a connection.
Now, my Gentoo is installed with KDE. Everything is working fine, except if I type the command "adsl-start". After the command, it displays "connected!" and KDE will reboot my machine right away!
I also tried to put this command (adsl-start) in the /etc/conf.d/local.start so I don't have to type this command each time. Again, when I log as root or normal user , KDE will reboot the machine after the splash screen saying stuff like: Initialisation systems, initialisation periphecals, window manager, loading desktop...
When I don't use X, I have no problem with that.
I think I should maybe re-install Gentoo...?!
Thank you in advance if u can help me!
