Hi!
I just emerged php to use it as part of a LAMP system.
However when the emerge finished there was a message telling me that the package should not be used with a webserver as it has no security compiled in...
What does this mean? How can I emerge a php-version that is "safe" and is designed to be run with apache?
Please help... |

Did you try to emerge php or mod_php lately they have been seperated. php is now a cgi/command line ebuild. mod_php is the ebuild for an apache module. _________________ There's someone in my head but it's not me - Pink Floyd |

I saw that a "mod_php" ebuild exists when I searched for php in portage.
But I was not sure what it was for. The last time I emerged a LAMP system php and mod_php obviously where not yet seperated.
I am emerging php_mod right now...
Thank you very much! |
