Hi dear all;
Although google mainly reports PVGRUB can't boot EXT4 partition,
there's also some information reporting the opposite, i.e. http://rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/fedora/15/x86_64/xen-hypervisor-4.1.0-1.fc15.x86_64.html
Maybe the mentionned patch is not ported to gentoo's stable ebuild?
Or only available in unstable 4.1.2, which I can't use for the moment because of an xenconsoled issue .
Any information on the subject are more than welcome.

I don't think that xen-pvgrub can boot ext4 as of now. I've not been able to, at least, and I don't want to bother creating another xvda block device per domain just for using pvgrub.
I think that it's best to wait until the next stable Xen release, hopefully there fedora patch which popped up on google-search has been commited and accepted. |
