Hi, I run Gentoo also on my notebook now.
So far, most things are doing well. What i miss yet, is the weather information,
which can be display in the left of the clock. I configured it to do so, but it will not shown....
Any ideas how to get this shwon?
Thx,

Yeah this was really annoying.
The things I found:
1. Make sure your home timezone is set properly in both Gnome and on your system. Your /etc/timezone is correct, /etc/localtime has the right timezone, etc.
2. Make sure your home location is in the timezone you set.
After doing these it seemed to start working... No clue why timezone really made a difference but it seemed so... _________________ Intel Core i7 2700K/Radeon R7 250/24GB DDR3/256GB SSD

yep, I missed to configure the system time and zone correctly during installation.
I did that now and get the weather information,
but only when the gnome home zone matches my time zone (Eu/Berlin).
When I set it to Nuremberg which is in the same time zone, no weather info will be displayed.... |
