Hi
ich hab auf nem Rechner folgende Partitionierung:
hda1 Win XP NTFS
hda2 /boot ext2
hda3 swap
hda4 / reiserfs
Die hda2-4 sind primäre Partitionen, die XP Partition wurde von der XP Installation erstellt.
Das boot Flag in der Partitionstabelle zeigt auf hda1
Grub ist im MBR installiert und hat folgende grub.conf
default 1
timeout 10
title=Gentoo
root hd(0,1)
kernel hd(0,1)/boot/kernel root=/dev/hda4 vga=792
initrd hd(0,1)/boot/initrd
title=Windows XP
root hd(0,0)
chainloader (hd0,5)+1
Das Problem ist folgendes: XP bootet prima, Gentoo zeigt mir die grub.conf Zeile mit der kernel Angabe und meckert dann es könnte eine Datei oder Blocklist nicht finden.
Heut nacht um eins hab ich's nicht mehr auf die Reihe gekriegt und jetzt steh ich auf'm Schlauch.
Was stimmt da nicht?

AFAIK uninteressant, dat juckt den grub wenig.

Sicher das der kernel auch kernel heisst? Was sagt ein 'ls -l /boot' (/boot vorher mounten ...)?
BTW: Was _genau_ findet er nicht?

error 1: filename must be either an absolute pathname or blocklist |
