When I emerge grub, it hangs at the below. It just sits there. grub is at 100% CPU utilization the whole time as well. Tried it on 2 sets of hardware, and originally hardened/SELinux profile, then on a vanilla install. Any idea whats going on?
Code: | * Copying files from /lib/grub, /usr/lib/grub and /usr/share/grub to //boot/grub |
grub2 9999 fails with:

Really not enough info for an educated guess...... is your build dir still available ? if not rerun the emerge.
then if it still falls over cp /var/tmp/portage/(grub*****)/temp/[build.log ,environment,+ any other files that seem informational] to your home dir, change permissions on these files to you as group owner. Then run (emerge --info -v) in home. loginto bugs.gentoo.org and check if there are any items relating to this problem. If not then start up another thread. upload the files to the bug as additional files, then sit back and wait. You are more likely to get info from this area than in here as this looks as though it is a bug .Hope this helps Geoff alias schrdlu |
