conoscenza,

I don't think that would be profitable.

What I think we need to find out is why and/or where that xorg.conf keeps creeping up from.
I did a few quick tests to show examples of Xorg.0.log with different scenarios.

Without a xorg.conf, you should not see the line: (==) Using config file: "/etc/X11/xorg.conf" at all, like so:

Code:
[ 22255.750]
X.Org X Server 1.11.4
Release Date: 2012-01-27
[ 22255.765] X Protocol Version 11, Revision 0
[ 22255.768] Build Operating System: Linux 3.2.1-gentoo-r2 x86_64 Gentoo
[ 22255.771] Current Operating System: Linux CommodoreL 3.2.1-gentoo-r2 #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Jan 27 17:09:09 EET 2012 x86_64
[ 22255.774] Kernel command line: root=/dev/sda8 vga=0x361
[ 22255.777] Build Date: 31 January 2012  02:39:34PM
[ 22255.780]
[ 22255.783] Current version of pixman: 0.24.0
[ 22255.786]    Before reporting problems, check http://wiki.x.org
   to make sure that you have the latest version.
[ 22255.792] Markers: (--) probed, (**) from config file, (==) default setting,
   (++) from command line, (!!) notice, (II) informational,
   (WW) warning, (EE) error, (NI) not implemented, (??) unknown.
[ 22255.802] (==) Log file: "/var/log/Xorg.0.log", Time: Tue Feb 28 22:10:43 2012
[ 22255.805] (==) Using system config directory "/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d"
[ 22255.809] (==) No Layout section.  Using the first Screen section.
[ 22255.809] (==) No screen section available. Using defaults.
[ 22255.809] (**) |-->Screen "Default Screen Section" (0)
[ 22255.809] (**) |   |-->Monitor "<default monitor>"
[ 22255.809] (==) No monitor specified for screen "Default Screen Section".
   Using a default monitor configuration.
[ 22255.809] (==) Automatically adding devices
[ 22255.809] (==) Automatically enabling devices

Without a xorg.conf, however, X will not start properly for me and exits with the fatal server error: No screens found.
Normally I have always used a xorg.conf generated by nvidia-xconfig which has worked for me, but for this test, I wrote a minimal xorg.conf (thanks, Gusar, for I have seen you mention this somewhere, some time, many a time, though things have worked fine with nvidia-xconfig for me, it's nice to know that this is usually only thing needed, if anything is needed) like so:

Code:
Section "Device"
   Identifier   "Device0"
   Driver       "nvidia"
   VendorName   "NVIDIA Corporation"
   Option       "Coolbits" "5"
EndSection

The "Option Coolbits 5" is to have fan and other control via nvidia-settings so that's just a personal addition.
So with that, the xorg.conf will naturally appear in my log again.

For now, I would suggest you write down your exact steps, something like:
  1. Removed xorg.conf from /etc/X11/ and <other?>.
  2. Double-checked it is not there.
  3. Used command startx to start X.
  4. Failed, checked Xorg.0.log for xorg.conf and time/date, and the error message(s).
  5. Content of xorg.conf is the same as initially?
  6. Checked date/time of xorg.conf and Xorg.0.log for no particular reason.
  7. Planning on trying with a blank xorg.conf, blocking any changes to it via permissions if need be (I forgot to try what happens with a blank file, so I'm not sure if that would work the same way as with no file at all).
Mention any additional steps you might have taken.

Also, this is just an example what I would probably do, not necessarily what I would suggest you to do.
Do what you do, and tell us what you did exactly, and what happens next.

I am sure this is more or less frustrating, but hang in there, and I'm sure the mystery will be solved, eventually. ^^
Just some thoughts~

Such a log is typical for when KMS is not activated. So configure and install the kernel properly.

I think it was enabled...
Anyway all it is ok with 2.6.39-gentoo, can I copy the configuration from this kernel?
The last source that I've downloaded is linux-3.2.6-gentoo.
What I must to copy? and where?

thanks to all!

Updating the kernel is pretty much one of the basics of using gentoo. It's something you really should be able to figure out yourself. There's some pointers in this thread, there's documentation elsewhere. Read up, learn, really understand what you're doing instead of just blindly typing it commands others provide you.

Ok!
I will do:
Code:
cd /etc/kernels

Code:
cp kernel-config-x86_64-2.6.39-gentoo kernel-config-x86_64-3.2.6-gentoo

Code:
genkernel all

re-emerge driver and xorg-server... and I hope it will be ok!

I would suggest to at least read through the Gentoo Linux Kernel Upgrade Guide.
It also mentions using the old .config file. ^^

I would also suggest to look into manually configuring your kernel. I too started, and used genkernel for quite a long time, but once I took the leap and did it manually a few times, it really wasn't as bad as it seemed to be while gazing towards it from yonder.

Then there are the Pappy's Kernel Seeds that are advertised a lot around the forums by many.
I haven't tried that, but I am sure that it might be worth a try if you don't want to jump in with doing it all by yourself right away.

Of course, if you're most comfortable with genkernel, by all means, you should is it then but it does have quite a lot of disadvantages and can even cause problems in certain circumstances.

Just some thoughts, and links you might have found by searching yourself already. :]

Good luck!

Thanks to all for the answer!
Thank you Chiitoo for the links, they are so interesting! I'll read its.
Anyway I've resolved: I used the 2.6.39 configuration and I compiled the kernel again.

What did I wrong in the new configuration?

It is pretty much impossible to tell without the both of the .config files available for comparison, but if I had to really, really guess, this might have something to do with it:

Quick google-search for 'gentoo kms' returns a nice article in the unofficial gentoo-wiki, though I have never used it, so I can not tell if it is still an accurate article or not. ^^;

If you used genkernel without --menuconfig (I don't know if that adds it by default though) you couldn't add stars to a certain important places, described in
http://en.gentoo-wiki.com/wiki/Intel_GMA
Code:

Device Drivers  --->
  Graphics support  --->
    <*> /dev/agpgart (AGP Support)
      <*> Intel 440LX/BX/GX, I8xx and E7x05 chipset support
    <*> Direct Rendering Manager (XFree86 4.1.0 and higher DRI support)  --->
      <*> Intel I810
      <*> Intel 830M, 845G, 852GM, 855GM, 865G (i915 driver)  --->
        <*> i830 driver
        <*> i915 driver
          [*] Enable modesetting on intel by default

I also second the motion to take the time to learn how to manually configure your kernel. Once you get the hang of it, it works so much better than using genkernel.

Thanks to all!
Probably I deleted something on the kernel configuration, anyway I delete just what I know I don't need to have.
For example: I have i915, so I think I can delete i830 module from the kernel!
I search and read your links: thanks to all again!

See you soon!
