Hallo.
Ich hab wieder mal ein emerge -uUp world durchlaufen lassen.
Jetzt besteht Portage auf OpenSSH:
| Code: | root @ ~ > emerge -uUp world
These are the packages that I would merge, in order:
Calculating world dependencies ...done!
[ebuild N ] net-misc/openssh-3.7.1_p2

Wieso denn das? 
Ich brauch OpenSSH nicht, andere Pakete anscheinend auch nicht ...
Schliesslich will er wirklich nur OpenSSH installieren.
Alle anderen Pakete die er mir angezeigt hat liessen sich reibungslos installieren.
Jetzt bleibt noch OpenSSH, aber was soll ich damit?
Ich bin verwirrt 
Ich glaube aufgetaucht ist das Teil erst,
als die GLSA zu OpenSSH rauskam.

Auszug aus man emerge

Und openssh ist nun mal Teil der Klasse system, ist also zentraler Bestandteil einer Gentoo-Installation und deshalb besteht Portage darauf. Ob das in diesem Fall unbedingt nötig ist, darüber läßt sich natürlich streiten.

Heisst das ich kann nix anderes tun als OpenSSH zu ignorieren?

Empire: Jein. Solange sich niemand deswegen beschwert, wird sich wohl nichts ändern und selbst wenn, gibt es auch gute Gründe OpenSSH weiterhin in system zu lassen. Natürlich kannst Du, entsprechend /usr/portage/profiles/package.mask, /etc/portage/package.mask anlegen und mit einem Eintrag OpenSSH Portage vorenthalten. Ob dies mit system ebuilds funktioniert, bin ich mir allerdings nicht hundertprozentig sicher.
Warum kratzt es Dich eigentlich? Die paar Megabyte tun nun wirklich nicht weh und brauchen tut man OpenSSH irgendwann doch.

Nein, eigentlich bezweifle ich, OpenSSH auf meiner Workstation jeh zu brauchen.
Also kratzen tuts mich sowieso ned  , wollte halt mal wissen wieso.
Ist halt schon komscih wenn ers nie wollte und plötzlich besteht er drauf.
Ich lass es einfach mal, mal guggn was kommt
