hey guys, i just tried to set up my bluetooth adapter. Unfortunately it just works sometimes. So when i have luck and my computer has booted i can use it without problems. But this is just in 10 % the case.
i use the 3.0.6 kernel and followed the install guide at http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/bluetooth-guide.xml
my kernel look like:
│ │ --- Bluetooth subsystem support │ │
│ │ [*] L2CAP protocol support │ │
│ │ [*] SCO links support │ │
│ │ <M> RFCOMM protocol support │ │
│ │ [*] RFCOMM TTY support │ │
│ │ <M> BNEP protocol support │ │
│ │ [*] Multicast filter support │ │
│ │ [*] Protocol filter support │ │
│ │ <M> HIDP protocol support │ │
│ │ Bluetooth device drivers --->
<M> HCI USB driver │ │
│ │ <M> HCI SDIO driver │ │
│ │ <M> HCI UART driver │ │
│ │ [*] UART (H4) protocol support │ │
│ │ [*] BCSP protocol support │ │
<M> HCI DTL1 (PC Card) driver │ │
│ │ [*] Atheros AR300x serial support │ │
│ │ [*] HCILL protocol support │ │
│ │ <M> HCI BCM203x USB driver │ │
│ │ <M> HCI BPA10x USB driver │ │
│ │ <M> HCI BlueFRITZ! USB driver
│ │ <M> HCI BT3C (PC Card) driver │ │
│ │ <M> HCI BlueCard (PC Card) driver │ │
│ │ <M> HCI UART (PC Card) device driver │ │
│ │ < > HCI VHCI (Virtual HCI device) driver │ │
│ │ <M> Marvell Bluetooth driver support │ │
│ │ <M> Marvell BT-over-SDIO driver │ │
│ │ <M> Atheros firmware download driver
so i ticked pretty much everything
the fact is. lsusb show me the device in just 10%,too so itś simply not detected.
actually lsusb show me this:
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 8087:0024 Intel Corp. Integrated Rate Matching Hub
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 8087:0024 Intel Corp. Integrated Rate Matching Hub
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 1bcf:288a Sunplus Innovation Technology Inc.
Bus 002 Device 003: ID 046d:c047 Logitech, Inc. Laser Mouse
So the Usb port works fine.
I did google the problem and found out, dbus driver must be started before bluetooth but this line exist is in bluetooth init skript: depend() { need dbus localmount hostname .....
Does anybody has an idea?
ps: i use an acer aspire timeline x 4830TG
