| So about 5 days ago installed gentoo on a hp pavilion p6 2100 and it is running great aside on small problem. At random times it will just black screen and it becomes unresponsive to key input, or anything for that matter, there is nothing that seems to trigger it, it just triggers at random. I'm not to sure if this is a hardware problem or a gentoo problem, as this machine is less then 2 weeks old, and never had a problem when windows 7 was installed. If you have any ideas as to what is causing this i would appreciate it. |

how did you do your kernel? genkernel or config per hand?
what hw are you using?
drop
into pastebin
and your kernel config too. |
