grub.conf missing

Where is my grub.conf file? I compiled a new kernal I need to edit it, but its no place to be found. I must be missing somthing, any help would rule. Im guessing its somthing easy I just have been up for a day install gentoo

You need to boot off of the gentoo cd, then mount the boot partition. Then you should be able to edit the grub config file.

Ok so I just needed to mount boot and then I was able to find it. Man I guess sleep really does help :-/
