[solved] Flashing colors after hibernate to ram

Hi

I'm not sure if this is the right category but my problem is as follows.

I tried setting up power management as described in the power management guide. The result was, that after going to hibernate and the out of it, i get colors cycling flashing on my screen. I then removed almost everything related to power management (laptop-mode-tools, acpid, cpufreqd) and only installed hibernate-script and cpudyn. Now when i put my laptop into hibernate via hibernate-ram i still get these flashing colors.

Even restarting xdm via ssh has no effect other than no more flashing colors but a black screen. Not even the consoles F1-F6 are working.

I'm running the latest amd64 gentoo using kernel 3.2.1-gentoo-r2 on a HP Pavillion dv6254ea with a 1.6GHz Intel Core 2 and a nVidia GeForce Go 7400. I'm using the nouveau drivers for xorg.

Did anyone expirience this problem also?

i switched to the nvidia drivers and now everything works fine. seems like an issue of the nouveau drivers.
