I'm booting systemrescuecd-2.5.1 from a USB stick. It seems to work fine until I get to partitioning the hard disk; the kernel thinks it booted with the USB stick as /dev/sda1, but current /dev/disk/by-id/ shows the hard disk as /dev/sda1 and USB as /dev/sdb1 (what I'd expect). I can `cp -a /dev/sda /dev/test-sda` and parted runs on that without complaining, but hdparm -z won't.

How can I fix that? Preferably without having to reboot, because I have only SSH access for the next 6 hours or so :)
