Xine mpeg not working, but avi does

I have stable Gentoo installed on a PowerBook G4 (Titanium). I installed the unstable version of xine-lib (1-rc0-r3) and xine-ui (.9.22). It displays AVI files fine and reads DVDs fine, but I only get a green screen when trying to view mpegs. The DVDs come out all green too. I assume it's because of the mpeg library, but everything looks okay. I have "decode-mpeg2" plugin. Any help would be appreciated.
