How can i make gentoo based another new distro?
There will be no xorg,gnome,kde,lxde,xfce no desktop environment.
There will be no package manager.
It will be gentoo based console/tty distro.
How can i make a new mimimal gentoo base distribution?

I guess you have to install a stage3 Gentoo system. Rebuild everything to make it bootstrap (emerge -e system / emerge -e world). Install what you want to install (with portage or even manually built). Then emerge -C portage to remove portage (I don't even know it that works), and rm -rf /usr/portage, then rm -rf /etc/portage and other directories...
Then you'd have a Gentoo without package manager. That wouldn't make it a "new distro" though unless you add something on your own. _________________ Arkhelion |
