|

Hi all.
I am trying to use a USB stick that I put the most recent amd64 minimal iso on with unetbootin to install on my shiny new laptop. It sees the usb stick but then claims it can't find any media and asks me to tell it where a boot device is, drop into a shell or quit. Is there a parameter I need to pass to the kernel? I can't find a fix for this anywhere.
Thanks. |

ehhh - I was trying to not waste a CD, but I think I'll just burn one....
Course, if there is a solution out there and someone knows it, I would like to know.
TIA. |

The solution would just be to run Code: | # isohybrid image.iso && dd if=image.iso of=/dev/sdb bs=8192k | on the minimal install cd. The liveDVD doesn't need isohybrid run on the iso image and just a dd to a usb drive would work. |
