|

Hi,
I'm using xmonad with a few Gnome pieces thrown in for good measure. I did not install the entire gnome desktop, but instead installed the apps I want to use.
One of these is gnome-do. It works, but the many of the icons do not appear. I am hoping that I'm simply missing some package, but I'm not sure which icon files gnome-do is trying to use.
Does anyone know which package I need to install or how to find out which icons gnome-do is trying to use?

The smudged entries are contacts, which also don't have a good icon. _________________ There are 10 types of people, those who know binary and those who don't. |

You could also take a look at x11-themes/gnome-icon-theme and alike. _________________ Arkhelion |

Hi, thank you for your reply,
I've added the image use flags updated my system. Here are the list of use flags I currently use:
Code: | USE="X aac acpi alsa apache2 apm avahi bash-completion dbus bidi bluetooth branding cleartype corefonts css dvd dvdr emacs ffmpeg firefox gif gtk gnome gstreamer jpeg mmx mp3 mp4 mpeg mplayer ogg pcmcia png ppp quicktime rdesktop samba smp spell sse sse2 svg svga tiff truetype udev usb vorbis wifi win32codecs x264 xft xine xinerama xscreensaver xv xvid zsh-completion" |
I've also installed any icon related package I could find:
Code: | [IP-] [ ] x11-themes/gnome-icon-theme-3.2.1.2:0
[IP-] [ ] x11-themes/gnome-icon-theme-extras-3.0.0:0
[IP-] [ ] x11-themes/gnome-icon-theme-symbolic-3.2.2:0
[IP-] [ ] x11-themes/hicolor-icon-theme-0.12:0
|
I'm still seeing the same behaviour though. _________________ There are 10 types of people, those who know binary and those who don't. |

Hi, I recently ran into a similar problem and the icons missing on my system are from shotwell and ibus-pinyin. I don't care shotwell very much since I rarely use it but the missing of icons if ibus-pinyin is really painful to me since now I have no way to tell which input method (either english or chinese) I am currently using without testing it first...
Did you find any solution to your issue? Thanks,. |
