When I try to start the tightvnc vncserver, I get:

Couldn't start Xvnc; trying default font path.
Please set correct fontPath in the vncserver script.
Couldn't start Xvnc process.

Obviously I need to install some fonts, but which ones, and how? 
It used to be, back in the "good ol' days", that installing X got you a bunch of fonts in the process, but things have slimmed down quite a bit since then...
