I post here because on IRC #QEMU and #KVM I did't get an answer.
3 issues:
1a)Unable to use qemu-kvm on ATOM D425 (no HW virt.) with option -no-kvm, kvm still needed.
1b)Revert back to qemu + kqemu, but emulation is too slow, useless (virtualbox just run fine).
2)Test live migration (http://www.linuxforu.com/2009/03/kvm-virtualisation-the-linux-way/) on two i7 fails (guest freeze) after info migrate on source guest says migration done.
I don't use libvirt to avoid other sw layer and related problems.
Official documentation and google search didn't help me.
Suggestion about any of the issues is welcome, details will follow.

Yes, thats how it works. My laptop hasn't hardware support neither, so I use virtualbox there for some things. This is to be expected without hardware support, there is no other choice.
So, there is nothing to do on these 2 points, what you explain is what you can expect. |
